They are offering a rare and beautiful herb book, printed in Venice, published by Officina Valgrisiana in the year 1559. Bound in a decorative full leather binding of the period with gold tooling and a spine label.

Third Latin edition of the commentary on Dioscorides' Materia Medica.

Collation: 2 parts in a book, 50 sheets, 776 pages; 46 pages, 1 sheet with printer's mark.

Condition: Very beautiful and good specimen with slight signs of use, good binding, faintly stained, cover rubbed and somewhat scuffed. The upper headcap has been restored, and the blank endpapers have been discreetly renewed.
