AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Biography:

Willem Hendrik Eickelberg never became widely known as a painter. He was born in 1845 in Amsterdam and received his training at the Royal Academy there. Afterwards, he painted landscapes, cityscapes, and beach scenes in an emerging impressionist style. His winter landscapes are occasionally still strongly romanticized, but he also painted cityscapes and beach scenes with ships that offer a somewhat more contemporary view of his time. Until 1878, the artist lived and worked in Amsterdam. After some wandering, he settled in Blaricum (1904) and later in Hilversum. Museums such as the Nederlands Historisch Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam and the Rijksmuseum Kröller Möller in Otterlo own works by him.

The painting is still in the original 19th-century frame.
The list has damages, needs to be inspected, and will be sent free of charge.

The painting is carefully packed and sent by registered mail.
