Oostpoort te Delft, an oil painting from 1910–1920 by Ben Viegers (1886–1947), Netherlands, hand-signed, original edition, with frame, 52 cm high by 36.5 cm wide, in reasonable condition.

Ben Viegers 1886 - 1947.
The artist Ben Viegers lived and worked in The Hague from 1938 to 1940, in Bakkum until 1942, in Hilversum until 1943, and thereafter in Nunspeet.
He developed himself and painted landscapes, cityscapes, sea and harbor views, still lifes, flowers, markets, beaches, and dune landscapes.
Ben Viegers was born in 1886 in The Hague, and an important influence on the young Viegers to pursue the profession of painter was his maternal grandfather.
It concerns an early work of the artist.
Presentation: The Oostpoort of Delft with a father and son in the foreground. (See photo with another work by Viegers auctioned at Christie of the Oostpoort).
In reasonable to good original condition, craquelure is stabilized. Canvas size 45.5 x 29.5 cm. The frame is in good condition with minimal signs of use; it is provided free of charge with the artwork.
Work is carefully packaged and shipped internationally by registered mail.
