First edition illustrated volume in Dutch, titled De Graaven van Holland, bound in half-leather, 207 pages, large paper format (29.5 x 23 cm), published by J. Bosch Haarlem, featuring 23 copper engravings from the 32 in the first part and a Zeer goed condition copy.

Engraved title page by Henricus Spilman after Taco Jelgersma and from the same artist, 23 engraved portraits of the counts of Holland. Langendijk wrote annual poems for the literary society 'Trouw moet blijken' between 1724 and 1744. These were collected in this publication. He was appointed as the 'city historian' of Haarlem in 1749.
