3 volumes in-12 (14 x 8 cm), marbled calf (period binding), smooth decorated spine, red morocco title pieces, stamped volume numbers, gold fillet at the edges, marbled edges, [4]-xx-[12]-344; [4]-359-[1]; [4]-334-[3] pages (complete). Worn corners, tear on one headband, slightly faded volume pieces. Overall good condition.

Charming illustrated edition with a repeated vignette at the titles and three vignettes in headers.
All engraved on copper by Legrand after Seve. Last leaf of the preface of Iphigénie.
Margin of a document with an old annotation in Greek.

Provenance: Félicité de La Mennais (1782-1854), theologian and politician (ex-libris).
manuscript very likely an autograph.
