Dirk Johannes van Haaren (1878-1953) - Tandem

Dirk Johannes (Dirk) van Haaren (Amsterdam, April 21, 1878 – there, June 30, 1953) was a Dutch painter.

Dirk van Haaren lived and worked in Amsterdam as well as in Sloten. He was self-taught and created watercolors and oil paintings. His works include landscape paintings, often depicting water, windmills, and cattle, as well as cityscapes of Amsterdam and paintings of horses with riders.

He was a member of several artists' associations, including Arti et Amicitiae and Sint-Lucasgilde, both in Amsterdam.
