Atmos clock - Jaeger-LeCoultre - Brass, Glass - 1940-1950

Swiss brand watch, nickel plated, black dial, JAEGER LeCOULTRE, ATMOS, model 528-6 from 1950. The watch looks and works very well. In the late 1930s, Atmos watches were always manufactured in the same factory in the Jura Mountains of Switzerland by highly skilled watchmakers. The Atmos watch is powered by perpetual motion - it does not need to be wound manually. It gets the energy it needs to run from changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure in the environment and can operate for decades without human intervention. For a two-day operation, a temperature variation of just one degree between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius or a pressure variation of 3 mmHg is sufficient. The drive spring is continuously loaded, being almost always at the maximum load limit. It will be packaged appropriately, in 2 boxes (box in a box) for transport.
