2 volumes in-8 (22 x 14 cm), glazed blond calf leather (English binding of the period), decorated spine with raised bands, marbled paper endpapers, gilt triple fillet framing the covers, gilt head, wide inner dentelle, untrimmed, xiv-273; viii-264 pages (complete). Hinges cracked, title pieces faded, corners worn, spines and headcaps rubbed, small leather loss at the head of the spine of volume II, tear on a cut. Overall condition is fair.

Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) was one of the greatest English naval heroes. Nelson commanded the British fleet during the Napoleonic Wars, fighting the French and Spaniards and achieving a series of decisive victories.
