Description from the seller
Rare Movado travel/pocket watch Ermeto with complete calendar and lunar phases, circa 1940-50 - Ref. 1246.
Sliding case 'Ermeto' with a metal base and original brown leather covering. When the two shells are opened, a small travel clock appears with an ivory rectangular dial, a chemin-de-fer minute scale, applied Arabic numerals, and black hour/minute hands. In the center, there is a complete calendar: the day of the week at 12 o'clock, the month at 6 o'clock, the date indicated by a red-tipped hand on the periphery, and lunar phases at 3 o'clock. Dial signed Movado – Switzerland.
Manual winding mechanical movement by Movado, with a frequency of 18,000 A/h, belonging to the family of caliber 470 used by Movado for the triple calendar with moon phase of the era (caliber not visible because the case is closed and has not been opened to preserve its integrity). It functions perfectly.
The aesthetic conditions are original, with normal signs of age: wear and small cracks on the leather, marks on the metal parts, as shown in the detailed photos. No known modifications, very authentic collectible appearance.
Dimensions :
Closed: 51 mm x 36 mm
Open: 76 mm x 26 mm
Thickness: 16.5 mm
Weight: 86 grams
The ideal watch for collectors of historic Movado pieces and enthusiasts of the Ermeto models, particularly the more complex versions with triple calendar and moon phases, which are difficult to find today.
The watch will be shipped well packed.
Shipment tracked via express courier UPS/DHL.
