Head - Hoofd Jezus - 28 cm - solid wood

Detailed carved wooden head of a bearded man.
This comes from a large collection belonging to a Dutch person who bought it in the 1970s from an artist in France. The artist's studio was filled with wooden heads, busts, and statues. Some were religious, and some were not. These statues are most likely made between around 1900 and approximately the 1950s or 60s.
