Description
Black and white photograph depicting a nude female figure, framed from the waist up, leaning against a light wall and partially wrapped in fabric. Dense, dark foliage structures the background, creating a stark contrast with the clarity of the skin and the mineral surface of the wall.
The gaze, frontal and restrained, establishes a direct relationship with the viewer without a strong narrative effect. The natural, soft, and lateral light models the volumes with precision and reveals a nuanced range of greys, characteristic of silver gelatin prints on baryta paper. The vertical framing, slightly off-center, contributes to an atmosphere of calm and suspension.
The work is part of Michel Pinel's ongoing exploration of the female nude, approached with sobriety, formal rigor, and a particular attention to the presence of the body in space.
Condition
Very good condition. The print features a uniform surface with well-preserved contrasts. The back is clean, with a clear and legible stamp, without folds or notable damage. The artwork is accompanied by its complete certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
