Description
This photograph, taken around 1980, depicts a female figure sitting on a bed, captured in a sparse interior with oblique lines. The natural light, coming from the side, shapes the body and the clothing, while the face remains partially hidden, emphasizing the scene's introspective and silent character.
The image illustrates Michel Pinel's intimate approach, where the nude is treated with restraint and formal rigor. The slightly downward framing, the balance between shadow and light, and the density of the silver grain create a subtle tension between physical presence and psychological withdrawal. This work fully aligns with the artist's explorations of domestic intimacy and the solitude of the human figure.
Condition
Excellent condition. Antique baryte print featuring an intact surface and well-preserved contrasts. Clean reverse side, without folds or alterations, with a perfectly legible stamp. Complete certificate of authenticity in very good condition.
