A European porcelain and gilt metal table lamp dating to 1950–1960, in a vintage white urn form with 1 fitting, 20 cm high, 13 cm wide, 8 cm deep, weighing 0.5 kg, in excellent condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Decorative European table lamp made of porcelain and gilt metal, produced in the mid-20th century (circa 1950–1970).
The lamp features a rounded porcelain body in urn form, decorated with polychrome floral motifs depicting roses. The design is enriched with cobalt blue and gilded accents. Elegant gilt metal elements with scrolling details support a circular gallery at the top, intended to hold a lampshade.
The overall design is inspired by Louis XVI and Napoléon III revival styles, popular in European decorative arts of the mid-20th century.
The lamp was originally manufactured as an electric lamp. It is fitted with a European electrical socket and wiring. As with all vintage lighting, professional inspection is recommended before regular use.

Manufacture: Probably German or Bohemian (Central Europe)
Period: Mid-20th century
No visible maker’s marks are present, which is typical for decorative export production of this period.
