Refined solid wood valet stand dating from the 1960s–1970s.
Description from the seller
Refined bedroom wardrobe in solid wood, from the 1960s–1970s, crafted in the Mid-Century Modern style with classic influences typical of Italian production of the period. The piece is designed to organize and keep daily clothing in order, combining function and decorative elegance.
The structure consists of a solid wooden frame, equipped with shaped shoulder hangers for jackets and coats, a horizontal bar for trousers, an upper flat surface for emptying pockets and accessories, and a front brass bar intended for ties or belts. At the top, two small removable side drawers are inserted, internally lined with green cloth, ideal for cufflinks, watches, rings, or personal small items. The base features a double shoe rack crossbar with brass inserts and small wheels that facilitate movement.
The object stands out for its wood craftsmanship, with a broadly shaped coat rack softened by ergonomic curves. The overall design reflects the understated elegance of Italian modern design, with clean lines and balanced proportions.
Condition: authentic vintage furniture, with signs of use consistent with its age. Several woodworm holes are visible in multiple areas, clearly documented in photographs; these marks are typical of contemporary furnishings. Overall, the structure is stable and functional.
Materials: solid wood, brass details, interior lining of the drawers in cloth, metal and plastic casters.
Period: 1960–1970
Style: Mid-Century Modern – Italian production
