This second volume covers the Aeneid Books VI-XI, Culex; and Ciris. Plus an index. Each new Book has a lovely half page illustration at the start - 6 for Aeneid and 1 at start of Culex. The first six of its twelve books tell the story of Aeneas' wanderings from Troy to Italy, and the latter six tell of the Trojans' ultimately victorious war upon the Latins, under whose name Aeneas and his Trojan followers are destined to be subsumed.
Full leather hardboards with 5 bands to the spine. Pages sunned but clean. 590 pages. 26 cm x 20 cm.
