Description from the seller
This is an interesting large vintage photograph, measuring 36.4x26cm (approximately 14.3x10.2 inches), of the beautiful and famous Italian actress Sophia Loren, presumably taken in 1963 by the well-known Ravenna photographer Paolo Costa.
Paolo Costa was among the great Italian photographers of the 'Dolce Vita,' one of the most renowned portraitists, highly sought after by actors and actresses even outside the set, and also for the photos taken during the filming of various movies.
Born in 1917, he was considered one of the greatest European photographers in the field, and today the Paolo Costa Archive is managed by his daughter Alexandra.
This is a genuine vintage photograph, duly stamped by Paolo Costa himself on the back, with his old stamp.
General conditions are discreet, with a tear about 2cm at the bottom, two about 1cm at the top, and some creases and defects here and there. Overall, a rare vintage photograph by a 'rare' author...
