Laudrup is a former Danish footballer and coach. He is considered one of the best European footballers from the mid-1980s to the 1990s.

He played as a midfielder, mainly as an attacking midfielder, although his versatility allowed him to also function as a forward or winger. Gifted with great talent and technical elegance, he stood out for his dribbling ability and his wide repertoire of assists and passes, such as the spectacular and effective 'unseen passes' to the play.

During his football career, among other teams, he played for Spain's two major clubs, Real Madrid and F. C. Barcelona. After retiring in 1998, he began his coaching career, with his debut club as a professional footballer, Danish club Brøndby IF, being the first team he managed in 2002.
