Description from the seller
Indochinites are a type of tektite. They were ejected into the Earth's upper atmosphere by a huge meteorite impact. The steam jets cooled down in the higher atmosphere and condensed to glass that rained down up to hundreds of kilometers away from the impact. Indochinites are found in indochinese peninsula and have a characteristic black color.
This specimen is offered in raw condition. Some dust from the original soil is still present in the surface.
- Weight: 7.81 grams
Packages are usually sent the morning after the auction. Shipping is combined in all my listings - if you win multiple items, only one shipping cost is paid.
About the seller:
My name is Adrian Vilchez Luna, and I am deeply passionate about Astronomy and Planetary Sciences. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Planetary Geology and Geophysics.
My interest in meteorites extends far beyond collecting; I actively conduct research on asteroids and meteorites, collaborating with universities and research groups worldwide. This work allows me to bridge scientific research with the preservation and study of extraterrestrial materials.
