Description from the seller
This is a 1959 vintage OMEGA Seamaster (Reference 14704), a highly collectible piece crafted in 18K Red Gold—a rare and desirable case material for this era.
Case & Dial: 34mm 18K red gold case with sharp, well-preserved lugs (original chamfering intact). The ivory-white dial is in near-mint, defect-free condition: it features multi-faceted applied hour markers paired with bold 3/6/9/12 numerals, complemented by a classic and a blued steel second hand (naturally patinated to a warm brown over time—an authentic vintage detail).
Movement: Powered by OMEGA’s Caliber 591 (20 jewels, automatic), fully original and functioning as intended.
Condition Extras: The case back retains its original "virgin blue sandblasted finish" (a rare surviving detail for 60+ year-old pieces), and the watch comes complete with its original box, leather strap, and OMEGA horseshoe buckle—all matching the watch’s period.
18K red gold Seamasters of this reference are scarce, and the combination of a flawless dial, intact case back finish, and original full set makes this example particularly sought-after by vintage watch collectors.
