I have been a distant admirer of Jane Fonda's acting and activism for nearly my entire life. I had the honor of being included in a Zoom discussion with Jane at the start of the pandemic, and we naturally found common ground on many of our shared concerns, particularly climate change and other environmental issues. Since then, I have collaborated with Jane, brainstorming and creating artwork for Greenpeace and her environmental PAC. Following Jane inspires me and also humbles me because her commitment to the causes she believes in is deeper and more rigorous than anyone else I can think of. This portrait of her, demonstrating grit, determination, and dedication to the planet, is something I know to be one hundred percent authentic. Yet, it represents only a fraction of what she embodies. Jane is a leader from whom we all could benefit by emulating.
