Three bronze bedside lamps made in France, dating to ca. 1950–1960, in good used condition with minor signs of aging, electrically converted, and measuring 6 cm deep, 6 cm wide and 30 cm high.
Description from the seller
Bronze bedside lamps made in France during the second half of the 20th century.
This lot consists of three antique candelabra made of cast bronze. The pieces display an aesthetic characteristic of the mid-20th century, with surfaces showing a natural patina and signs of authentic aging. The quality of the casting is evident in the details of the shafts and bases.
Each support features a distinctive morphology. The central piece is the tallest, with a shaft carved with knots and geometric motifs. The candlestick on the left has a darker patina and reliefs inspired by plant motifs, while the one on the right incorporates a sculptural figure of a cherub or putto holding the upper receptacle. All bases are richly decorated with reliefs in a classical style.
Originally conceived for candle lighting, these elements have been adapted for electrical use by incorporating sockets at the ends. Currently, this set of historical metalwork is appreciated in the collecting field and is used in interior design to add a classic and distinguished character to various rooms, such as auxiliary lamps.
