A Valambert toilet garniture by Val Saint Lambert (Luxval) in semi-crystal pressed glass with amber yellow and clear sections, including carafe (17.5 cm), plate (18 cm diameter) and water glass (10 cm high, 7.3 cm diameter), in excellent used condition with minor bubbles and a glass thread in the plate, made in Belgium and dating to circa 1913–1935.
Description from the seller
These objects are part of the 'Valambert' toilet set, produced by Val Saint Lambert within their Luxval series. The décor appears for the first time in the 1913 catalog and is reintroduced in the 1935 catalog, indicating a long-lasting and successful design.
The pieces (plate, carafe, and water glass) are made of semi-crystal (pressed glass), characteristic of Luxval: high-quality pressed glass with a luxurious appearance, intended as an affordable alternative to full crystal. The glass and the plate are marked.
The design combines cut and pressed geometric motifs with a warm amber/yellow coloring, contrasting with clear glass. Characteristic features include vertical facets, diamond-shaped structures, and an elegant, symmetrical layout. The bowl with a wavy rim enhances its decorative character.
These toilet fittings were used on dressing tables and typically consisted of multiple items such as bottles, jars, and trays. It is a set that looks beautiful on a cabinet or in a toilet space...
The set is in excellent condition. Here and there, there is a small air bubble, and the label contains a glass fiber.
