Ancient Napoléon III game box in Boulle marquetry – with complete tokens – circa 1850-1880.

Description

Magnificent Napoléon III-era game box, made of blackened wood with Boulle marquetry in brass and red inlays. High-quality craftsmanship, typical of the Second Empire (circa 1850–1880).

The interior is divided into compartments filled with multicolored antique game tokens (rectangular, round, and pointed shapes) made of ivory-like material. There is a refined storage system, as well as an original key that is simply used as a decoration and not for practical use.
