Description from the seller
Oil on canvas
Measurements: 76 x 57 cm
Description
This work depicts a female figure in full immersion, captured in a moment of fluid movement and suspension. The body, seen diagonally, merges with the aquatic environment through a dynamic composition that conveys depth, rhythm, and visual continuity. The figure does not confront the water: it blends with it.
The expressive use of color — greens, blues, and ochres — creates an immersive atmosphere, while the organic brushstrokes evoke the constant flow of the aquatic environment. The light, filtered through the water, shapes the body with an almost tactile sensation, reinforcing the idea of movement and freedom.
The work combines figuration and abstraction in its treatment of the environment, creating a contemporary scene that speaks of connection, transit, and bodily presence. A piece of great visual impact, ideal for collectors interested in contemporary figuration, aquatic scenes, and compositions with a strong sense of movement.
Alejandro Carballosa, a Cuban visual artist and designer residing in Spain, has a career marked by the exploration of strength, emotion, and beauty in the animal and human figure. His work combines technical realism with a contemporary vision, where color, light, and movement acquire a symbolic and expressive language.
Trained in visual arts and design, he integrates the aesthetic sensitivity of classical art with modern resources, creating pieces that balance energy and introspection.
His work has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, and is part of private collections in Germany and the United States.
