Oreste Silvestri (Pollone, September 5, 1858 – Milan, November 24, 1936) Interior of the painter Delleani's garden, framed size 48x38 cm.

Biography
Born in Pollone, in the province of Biella, to a Piedmontese mother and a Lombard father. She exhibited some etchings by Carlo Stratta, Giacomo Grosso, and Lorenzo Delleani at the Società Promotrice di Belle Arti and the Circolo degli Artisti in Turin. She also displayed other works at various exhibitions: At the Fountain in 1883, at the Exhibition of Fine Arts in Rome at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni; A Sunny Day in 1889 in Turin; and Summer Impression at the Italian General Exhibition of 1884.

Between 1893 and 1895, he participated in research conducted by the German historian Paul Müller-Walde at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, particularly within the Ducal Chapel, the Open Hall, and the Sala delle Asse.

He participated in other important restorations, including that of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, which took place in 1924.

He was the son of the painter Carlo Silvestri (1821-1883), to whom he dedicated the work Portrait of the painter Carlo Silvestri on his deathbed (1883), which he donated to the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Milan.
