Hermann Hesse - Zwei Märchen (Der Dichter - Der Maler) - 1986

This first edition of Ascona Press, by Roland Meuter and Josef Weiss, was published in 80 numbered copies in March 1986. The work was hand-set in 12-point Bodoni type at the Stamperia Antiqua in Tenero (Switzerland) and printed on Rives handmade paper using their 'Amos dell’Orto in Monza 1862' hand press. The artist Frank Bruggisser, from Caneggio, created an original signed etching for each story. The design and production of the artisanal bindings were carried out by the workshops of R. Meuter (Ascona) and J. Weiss (Bruzella). This copy is in perfect condition.
