Scarce first edition copy, of this wonderfully illustrated book. The book is beautifully and colourfully illustrated by Graham Petrie, with 48 tissue-guarded colour plates-paintings. Published by William Heinemann, London, 1908. Publisher’s original red cloth boards, with design and black lettering on upper board and gilt titles to spine. Top page edges gilt.

Condition
Firm and well-bound copy. External covers in nice shape, with few marks and light wear to corners, and to head and foot of spine. Internally the book is in very good condition. No names or inscriptions. Spotting to prelims, with light foxing to the margin of some pages and page edges. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. The attractive illustrations make this a truly beautiful book (Nice Copy) (Please see pictures).
