Description from the seller
The first people on the moon... With Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins, Aldrin flew to the moon in 1969 with the Apollo 11 mission. When it became clear that Aldrin would be part of the mission, he fought behind the scenes with Neil Armstrong to be the first to step on the moon. NASA's decision was against him. Ultimately, on July 20, 1969 (UTC), Aldrin became the second person on the moon. By the way, Buzz was also the first person on the moon to do his business there, which he also describes in this book.
Almost all the photos taken on the moon during this trip feature Buzz Aldrin. Armstrong was less fortunate. The most iconic photo is also of Buzz Aldrin. After his trip, he fell into depression, turned to alcohol, and eventually had to sell cars. He remains a hero in history, now 95 years old and the only living person who has walked on the moon.
The book describes his life and is unread, so in new condition.
Featuring a beautiful photograph personally signed by Buzz Aldrin himself.
The book also includes a copy of the commemorative plaque ('we came in peace for all mankind'). The original of this plaque was left on the moon by Aldrin and Armstrong and is still there... a wonderful book about the very first moon voyage and landing by humans.
