Sculpture, Sátiro - 70 cm - Bronze, Marble

Recent adaptation of a sculptural lamp, made from a neoclassical piece attributed to the French school of the early 19th century. The work depicts a child satyr — a mythological figure associated with the entourage of Dionysus — mounted on a goat, in a dynamic and playful stance. The entire piece is cast in heavy bronze, with a golden patina on the figure and a darker finish on the animal, emphasizing visual contrast and material richness.

The base is made of polished marble, in a classic style, which provides stability and elegance to the overall piece. At the top, the satyr holds an element in the shape of a torch, which has been used as a support for the lighting fixture. The electrical installation, still pending adjustments, includes a double brass socket, visible next to the base, indicating a recent intervention to convert the sculpture into a lamp. It has the plug but the system does not work without rewiring.

This piece combines sculptural and decorative value, and its transformation into a functional object respects the original aesthetics without altering its artistic character. Ideal for classic or eclectic interiors where the fusion of historical art and lighting design is appreciated.
