Description from the seller
The Italian Nobility Yearbook is the oldest periodic genealogical, civil, and heraldic directory, regularly updated with the civil data of noble houses, thriving and extinct. It constitutes an important tool for libraries and researchers. It is divided into five main parts: Part I: families that were already sovereigns in the ancient Italian states and the Royal House of Italy, accompanied by coats of arms, portraits, and treaties; Part II: noble families listed in the official registers of the Kingdom of Italy; Part III: noble families divided into: a) pontifical titled families after 1870; b) families ennobled by the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta or admitted into the same chivalric order; c) families ennobled by King Umberto II of Italy after 1947; d) families admitted into chivalric orders with proof of nobility for reception after the fall of the Kingdom of Italy, or ennobling families; Part IV: families bearing the title of 'nobiltà generosa' from the pre-unification states, not recognized by the Kingdom of Italy; Part V: Italian 'notable' families, meaning those with a coat of arms and living more nobilium, formally not recognized as noble; General index.
By Borella A. Teglio, 2021; 2 volumes, edition, pp. 5851, illustrations, 104 color plates, 21x30 cm.
