You are bidding on a very fine and rare antique 4/4 violin, labeled Gaspard Duiffo Pruggar bonamillo anno 1560. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks. Original neck & scroll, good rosewood and ebony set up, good master made bridge.
The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back with amazing inlays and carvings. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm and the back 359 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 170 mm; middle bouts: 119 mm; lower bouts: 209 mm. Full size. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power. I hope the violin will find good hands. Shipping worldwide!
