You are bidding on a very fine old 4/4 violin, labeled Giuseppe Lucci da Bagnacavallo fece in Roma 1967. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, new ebony set up and good master made bridge.
The violin has an excellent high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 59 cm and the back 35,9 cm. Width of the upper bout: 16,6 cm; middle: 11,5 cm; lower: 20,8 cm. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich, warm, sweet and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power.
