Background:
The images of the collapsing office towers of the World Trade Center have burned into the memory of the whole world. On September 11, 393 brave men and women lost their lives in the line of duty. All this happened only a few hundred meters from James Rizzi's apartment in Soho. With unwavering courage, the people of New York returned to daily life. With his New York Fire Engine, James Rizzi pays tribute to the heroes of then and today: optimistic, full of life, and open to the world—just like New York itself.

The quality and workmanship will delight every collector. At 29 cm long and weighing more than 1 kg, this masterpiece consists of 127 individual parts. The main material of the body is zinc die-casting; the chassis is mainly sheet metal.

The wind mechanism is particularly elaborately designed, with the 360-degree rotating telescoping ladder made of four rungs and adjustable via a hand crank to reach up to 92 cm in length and 90 cm in height. A protractor always indicates the ladder's incline. Screws for manual swiveling, locking, or retracting the ladder add to the play value. Extendable stabilizing legs ensure stable balance even with the ladder fully extended. A trailer hitch, a manually adjustable handbrake, left and right running boards, and two firefighter figures on the crew seat with original FDNY insignia complete the equipment..
