Description from the seller
Nuno Reis (Angola, March 2, 1974 – Portugal, August 4, 2022), better known as Nomen, was a self-taught Portuguese graffiti artist.
Nuno was born in 1974 in Angola and lived there until he was two years old. From the age of 14, he was already interested in murals. He spent his later life in Portugal and also worked for some time in England. In 1989, Nomen sprayed his first public works on walls and trains along the Cascais line in the Carcavelos region. He is therefore considered one of the Portuguese graffiti pioneers.
Indigo is an original canvas by Nomen and is in excellent condition. It is stretched and sold, and comes with an authenticity certificate.
His works were exhibited in many countries, including France, Israel, Panama, and Qatar. Shortly before his death from April 8 to 10, 2022, they were also displayed at Le Carrousel of the Louvre during the International Contemporary Art Fair.
