Technique: oil on canvas glued on panel.
Signature at the bottom left: Caveng 1983
On the back: annotation "Le Goyen / Audierne"
Total measurements with frame: approx. 78 × 68 cm
Measurements of the painted part: about 60 × 50 cm.
The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
Description
Bretagne landscape depicted at sunset, with a large tree in the center and the Goyen river estuary near Audierne in the background. The composition is characterized by cool tones and a soft light reflecting on the water, typical of the artist's mature work.
Original fabric subsequently applied to the panel, with a contemporaneous frame in good condition showing normal signs of use.
