As part of the Islay Selection, La Maison du Whisky has specially selected two small batches from the Kilchoman farm distillery. These two whiskies are imbued with a Portuguese influence, resulting respectively from aging in STR wine casks and port casks. The second expression is a small batch blend of ex-bourbon (75%), port (20%), and oloroso sherry (5%) casks. This fine combination yields a whisky that combines the savory notes of citrus and peaty smoke, a signature of Kilchoman single malts, with intense notes of red fruit and vanilla, typical of port.
