Hermès - PLUMETS ET PANACHES by Florence Manlik. Neuf - Foulard

Magnificent Hermès silk twill scarf titled "Plumets et Panaches," designed by artist Florence Manlik in 2022, was revisited in 2023 with a whimsical touch: polka dots.
Although not officially marketed as a double-sided model, this scarf features an interesting detail. The plumets are printed on one side, offering a pattern of plumets on a polka dot background, while the other side displays only black dots on a white background.
Hand-rolled.

A bit of history :
For this drawing, Florence Manlik was inspired by the plates from a German album of saddlery and harness-making from the early 20th century, preserved in the Émile Hermès collection. Rooster and ostrich feathers evoke the splendor of past parades, during which the horse's bridle was decorated with bouquets of feathers called Plumets and Panaches.
