Anthology of ornaments, craftsmanship, and materials, this collection testifies to the infinite talent and fertile imagination of the artisans who created these marvels, whose utility is complemented by great ornamental value. The Émile Hermès collection, which contains many beautiful or unusual objects, objects rich in history and meaning, is the origin of many scarves. This passion was evident in young Émile from the age of twelve, when he bought a cane for a few coins, only to discover it concealed a silk umbrella! The canes pay homage to this first thrill of an aspiring collector.
According to the Arfon edition Art Squares Dictionary, it is considered quite rare and sought after (last photo).
