Gastone Breddo was a Venetian artist, shaped within the cultural environment of Virgilio Guidi and Filippo Santommaso. He began painting in an abstract concrete style, evolving by the 1960s into a naturalistic expression with informal material hints.
His work is considered among the most significant pages of 20th-century Italian art.
