Entirely unpublished texts (at the time) collected by Henri Guillemin. Portrait of Victor Hugo in Guernsey, around 1856 (photo) as frontispiece, on glossy paper.
In-8°, full brown leather binding. Spine with 5 raised bands decorated with gilded fleurons. Gilded title.
Beautiful binding. Light signs of wear from use on the covers. Interior very fresh. Light foxing on the preserved cover.
The original edition of this work includes 1,500 luxury copies, namely:
10 copies, numbered from 1 to 10, on 'marais pur fil' in form.
50 copies, numbered from 11 to 60, on Hollande Van Gelder.
150 copies, numbered from 61 to 210, on rives vellum.
1290 copies, numbered from 211 to 1,500, on Annonay alfa vellum.
