Limited edition of 2,400 copies (the book in question is number 1125).
Two large-format volumes (cm 30 x 23 x 6 each), volume 1 has 559 pages, volume 2 has 494 pages.
There are 657 illustrations present.
The overall condition of the work is good; the exterior is in fair condition as shown in the photos, and the interior is in excellent condition, with all pages intact and not torn.
Extraordinary historical and iconographic work dedicated to the mountain and its representation over the centuries, curated by John Grand-Carteret, one of the most important French scholars of image history and caricature.
