Domus - Il cucchiaio d’argento - 1950

This is 'Il Cucchiaio d’Argento,' one of the most famous and authoritative Italian cookbooks of all time.
It is the reference manual for traditional Italian cuisine, first published in 1950 by Editoriale Domus. It contains about 2,000 classic recipes from all regions of Italy and is considered a true 'bible' of Italian gastronomy – often given as a gift on occasions such as weddings.
The cover you see, blue in color with the title in light letters and a stylized drawing of a spoon, is typical of older editions (for example, those from the 1990s or earlier), or of some reprints that pay homage to the original style. The more recent editions (such as the 2025 one for the 75th anniversary) have different, more modern covers, but this one seems to be a classic version, slightly worn from use.
