Aesthetic features

This impressive bonsai of Acer campestre is distinguished by:

Powerful trunk, with mature, rough, and well-layered bark, a sign of old age and the care received over the years.

Spectacular nebari, wide and well-distributed, which provides great visual stability and a strong stage presence.

Fine and articulated branching, developed with attention to classical aesthetic standards. The primary branches are well proportioned and naturally conical, clearly evident.

Balanced canopy, distributed throughout the structure, with dense and healthy foliage. Regular pruning has promoted the development of short internodes and an harmonious silhouette.

The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.

Foliage and seasonality

The lobed leaves, typical of the field maple, are small and well proportioned to the scale of the tree.

In spring, the foliage takes on a fresh and luminous green.

In autumn, the bonsai offers a wonderful chromatic spectacle, taking on shades from golden yellow to soft orange.

Natural leaf reduction has been promoted by years of container cultivation and targeted interventions.

The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.

Style and setting

• Bonsai style: Moyogi (informal upright)

The structure of the trunk follows sinuous but stable lines, with harmonious and natural movements.

The secondary branches have been precisely arranged, and the proportions adhere to the principles of classic Japanese bonsai aesthetics.

The wide base and tapered trunk give a perception of solidity and maturity.

The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.

Glass

• Type: Japanese Tokoname rectangular

Dark glazed brown

Proportioned to the tree, with slightly raised edges that highlight the presence of the nebari.

The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.

Qualitative assessment

Estimated age: over 50 years.

Collectible value: High

Health status: excellent – vigorous vegetation, no signs of water stress or visible pathologies.

Exhibition potential: suitable for national exhibitions and advanced thematic shows.

The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.

Cultivation and maintenance

Cultivated using advanced techniques of pruning, defoliation, and pinching.

Cared-for roots, repotted regularly every 2–3 years.

Biological fertilization and accurate plant protection

The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
