Marina con scogliera, an oil on canvas from Italy, created in 1930–1940, signed by hand, original edition, framed at 71 × 97 cm including the frame.
Description from the seller
Chus Martinez (19th-20th century), Marina with Cliff, oil on canvas, 50 x 78 cm, dimensions including the frame 71 x 97 cm, signed lower right.
Opera in cornice with a matching style, mahogany color.
Works by this artist are documented in international auctions, but the research conducted has not allowed for the retrieval of biographical information.
The work in question fits within the context of vedutismo of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is a modern painting but mindful of the lessons of great 19th-century vedutismo. In this case, we are looking at a seascape and cliffs, probably set in the Atlantic environment. The scene is dominated in the foreground by a group of fishermen and a pier in the distance. The luminous palette and excellent landscape rendering make this painting an interesting piece both from a historical-artistic perspective and for its decorative and aesthetic qualities.
The work is in good condition with very light abrasions in the perimeter area (particularly on the right edge) and on the sail of the central boat.
The frame also shows minor damages and breaks on the edge, mainly on the lower edge, visible in the photograph.
Piece accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and Legitimate Provenance.
Shipped with express courier within 24/48 hours with insurance.
Please note that in the case of sales abroad, shipping can only be carried out AFTER obtaining the export authorization from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage (Certificate of Free Circulation of Fine Arts). This process generally involves a minimum waiting period of about 20 days.
The shipping costs abroad include the expense related to the export process for Fine arts and any customs procedures.
Lots awarded for a value of less than 1,000 euros are shipped only within the European Community.
