Giorgio Luxardo, born in Livorno in 1937, has been studying from Livornese masters from a young age, from whom he learned the basics of painting and the secrets of techniques. He immediately turned towards figurative expressions and languages derived from the naturalistic vision typical of the macchiaiola school. He deepened his understanding of the truth of the coasts and countryside of Livorno, making good use of the teachings of the masters whose studios he attended: among them Renato Natali, Gino Romiti, Pietro Annigoni, Ferruccio Mararesi, and Cafiero Filippelli.
