AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Magnificent vintage Hermès silk square, titled 'Jeu des Omnibus et Dames blanches,' designed by artist Cyrille Diatkine in 2007.
Special edition. 70 cm.
Hand-rolled.
Made in France
Hermès Paris logo, copyright Hermès C.
Composition label present.
A bit of history :
The designation 'dames-blanches' referred to two-compartment cars in service in Paris on the Madeleine-Bastille line.
This is the first Hermès square, printed in 1937 using woodblock printing based on illustrations from an old board game. The 'mistakes' caused by the original engraving process were faithfully reproduced during the reissue of the square in 1986-87 for the opening of the Musée des arts de la mode boutique, which also marked the 50th anniversary of Hermès scarves.
Also reissued in 2007. This square is a tribute to public transportation.
According to the Arfon art square dictionary, it is considered quite rare and sought after (last two photos).
Delivered in its original box.
Brand new. Unused.
It will be carefully packed and sent with the tracking number.
