Superb bell by the French manufacturer and master goldsmith active from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
Armand FRENAIS was one of the leading goldsmith manufacturers in Paris from 1877 to 1927; this quality brand remained that of a renowned and prestigious house.
Her works include various silver-plated objects, such as cutlery, tea and coffee services, as well as decorative pieces like this doorbell, inkwolders, etc. They are appreciated for their quality and design and can be found in antique collections or at auction sales.
Its creations can be identified by its distinctive master goldsmith's hallmark.
The first, which is the most important, bears the initials 'AF' framing an anchor, within a square, often accompanied by another hallmark noted 'A.FRENAIS' in full letters within a rectangle.
