The Work
Between Towers captures a suspended moment, seen from the ground, at the heart of a towering, overwhelming city. The buildings converge towards the sky, forming a rigid and almost oppressive frame, while an airplane crosses the central space, free, silent, indifferent to the urban density surrounding it.
Black and white emphasizes the geometry of the lines and the sense of depth. The airplane becomes a symbol of escape, of passage, of distance taken from the weight of everyday life. The work evokes the universal desire to rise, to leave the city for a moment to find air, perspective, and silence.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
The artist's word
There are cities that enclose the gaze.
And sometimes, a simple passage in the sky is enough to remind us that there is a way out.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
About the artist
Rudy Barret (@rudy_barret_photographe) explores verticality, urban solitude, and the need for escape through strong and symbolic compositions.
His work is distinguished by a cinematic approach, a keen sense of perspective, and precise, sensitive post-processing.
(Photoshop CC & Lightroom)
Each work is conceived as a moment of breath, an invitation to lift your eyes and consider other possible trajectories.
