Description from the seller

Santa Margherita Maria Alacoque. Circular devotional relic container of French origin, 19th century, composed of a metal frame with a front glass.

Relics of ashes associated with the saint, no human remains.

Margherita Maria Alacoque (Verosvres, July 22, 1647 – Paray-le-Monial, October 17, 1690) was a French Christian nun and mystic, canonized by Pope Benedict XV in 1920.

Red textile material background with applied gold decorations (likely gold leaf or powder), typical composition of Marian devotional objects intended for private or confraternal piety.
