This Roman Caesar chess is an exclusive chess set from our Roman Caesar chess set collection. A truly eyecatcher! Usually made on order. The folding board has a light brown colour from mahogany/sycamore. This set is a fantastic option for an ancient history collector, making an impressive showpiece for any home or office. The burned hand decorated folding chess board has two compartments finished with felt lining for the chess pieces inside.
The board is hand-decorated with a technique called INTARSJA – that is an old form of wood inlaying, start of which dates before the seventh century.
Thanks to this method, chess has a unique appearance and a smooth board surface.
The folding chessboard is made of mahogany and sycamore wood, mainly of beech wood. On the side of the board, there are two metal locks in gold colour. In the middle of the half-folded board, there is a liner covered with a red velour coating to store the handmade pieces.
The size of the board makes it a real pleasure to play. It has the alphanumeric descriptions along the outside. The hand-crafted, polished, and slightly weighted pieces are made of exclusive lime wood. Looks fantastic as a display with your home decor.
